  • Users need to think about what they write in e-mail because even though a message is deleted it is usually backed up on a server
  • Teachers and administrators feel cell phones are a major distraction and a catalyst for behavior problems
  • Decisions need to be made on how to teach students appropriate use of these technologies

  • Students and teacher use digital communication devices when they will not interrupt what is going on in the school or classroom.
  • Digital communication technologies such as IM and blogs are used to support student activities in the classroom, such as sharing ideas or writings with others.
  • Teachers use blogs to inform parents of classroom activities.
